Ag2R La Mondiale Cycling Team to meet for first 21 training camp

  • Ron

Capping the 2015 year that saw them take 24 stage victories, the whole Ag2R La Mondiale Cycling Team will meet in the Oisans mountain this week in Vaujany (Isère) for its first training camp.

The training program includes physical exercises and tactical adjustments in anticipation of the next season. During this particular event, a special partnership agreement will be signed between Oisans Tourism and the Ag2R La Mondiale Cycling Team for the next training camps’ organisation.

Twenty-eight riders will train at Vaujany. Unfortunately, the Canadian Hugo Houle and New Zeland racing cyclist Jesse Sergent, one of three new recruits, are absent. They will integrate the team later in Spain from 8 to 18 December at Gandia.

The camp will also mark the kickoff of the partnership between Ag2R La Mondiale and Finnish sports brand ONE WAY. The new clothing partner has a distribution in 30 countries worldwide. ONE WAY will provide the team with all high performance cycling apparel as well as casual clothing, bag collection and other equipment.

Ag2R La Mondiale Cycling Team Manager Vincent Lavenu was delighted with the arrival of the ONE WAY brand: I knew ONE WAY as supplier of many national teams, the French Biathlon and Nordic Team and several athletes. It is a serious and high performing brand. Our team has always worked with high-level technical partners. The prospect to work with One Way seems to be obvious because this company already has expertise in the Nordic and cycling fields. Our first friendly contacts with the company as well as their willingness to customize the clothing according to each rider’s unique demands facilitated our partnership easily,” he explained.
