On Saturday, October 5, the 3rd annual BattenFall Classic race will be held in Salem and Hebron. Starting and finishing at the Battenkill Valley Creamery, racers will compete on a course that includes one dirt road section. The challenging 10 mile circuit includes County Route 30, Smith, Bogtown, Scott Lake, and Chamberlain Mill Roads. Races will begin at 11 AM at the Creamery and will conclude by 2 PM. A Volunteer Picnic will be held concurrently at the Creamery and all 2013 Tour of the Battenkill volunteers and volunteer groups are invited.
The Fall Preview ride is the first opportunity to preview the course ahead of the 10th Annual Tour of the Battenkill, scheduled for April 5-6, 2014. The Tour of the Battenkill is North America’s largest sanctioned road cycling race with nearly 3,000 participants from 47 states and 25 countries in 2013.
