Cyclists looking for a training vacation this winter will again have the option to head to the Performance Cycling Camp, located at the San Diego community of Rancho Santa Fe. The Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa will host the camp from January 23rd-29th and will give riders the chance to train with retired pros, Christian Vande Velde and George Hincapie. Attendees will recieve personalized coaching as part of the package.
The vacation package will include daily pro-led rides, breakfast, lunch, and massages at The Spa, a welcome reception dinner and two additional dinners with the pros, along with riding apparel and other gear. Sag wagons for the rides will be provided by Porsche, Audi, and Range Rover. A professional photographer will be along for the riders to document the experience. At the end of the day, riders and their guests will stay five days, six nights in one of the resort’s luxury 950 square foot casitas. Guests are also provided complimentary Specialized bikes, helmets, locks, and maps during their stay. Guests are encouraged to ride around the 45 acre resort, or head off for a scenic ride through Rancho Sante Fe.
This one of a kind experience does not come cheap though. The cost of the cycling camp is $10,000 per rider. A two rider package will set you back $16,000, or $13,000 for a rider and non-riding quest. Keep in mind, there is a lot you get for your money, on and off the bike. Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, located in the upscale San Diego neighborhood or Rancho Santa Fe, re-opened in October 2012 following an extensive $30 million property-wide transformation. Upon opening, the property – the only Relais & Chateaux resort in Southern California – garnered the highest nightly rate in Southern California and the upmost in personalized services with a staff to guest ratio of 6-to-1. Highlights include 49 newly designed villa suites; 18 upgraded tennis courts; new spa treatment menu and product line exclusive to Rancho Valencia in partnership with the Amala skincare, newly added 1,000 sq. ft. Serenity Yoga Pavilion and expanded fitness and wellness offerings; Sheriden, an on-property luxury boutique, and the new signature Veladora Restaurant and Pony Room Bar, which are sure to be among the property’s standouts. Spanning 45 lush acres of gardens, trails, olive groves, casitas and more, this Mediterranean inspired, all-suite property offers the finest accommodations, service and programming that San Diego has to offer. In addition, Rancho Valencia just announced a new Porsche test drive program that allows their guests their choice of three brand new Porsches to take out on loan for as long as they’d like as long as they have them back the same day. The program is complimentary and available on a first come first serve basis.

Do you get an EPO package included? Some role models, eh?
love how these dopers still have an audience .. amazing people still pay money to ride/train/do stupid grand fondos and buy the horrible clothing of these lifelong cheats… if you are a real cycling fan boycott the crap these losers are selling
Agree with you guys they were after money only when they doped through their careers and lied to everyone …. Even these “development teams” are a way for these cheats to make money jv and hincapie notably … We should support the honest athletes and let these losers find another way to screw themselves
