SRAM has created a new website dedicated to the recall of their Road Hydraulic braking systems (http://
The website will allow owners of the braking systems to register their product with the company and also provides an FAQ section.
In a letter from SRAM President Stan Day that is reproduced on the site, he states that the company realizes that these parts went on “high profile bikes at high profile dealers” and that the company will “analyze failure modes and… develop a redesign” that will address the issues. A senior team from the company will be meeting daily to “complete a recovery and replacement plan for the (dealer/manufacturer) channel and consumers”.
Updates on the progress of the recall and redesign are to be posted to the website once a week on Tuesday mornings.
