Chrome Industries introduces new urban cycling clothing

  • Ron

Urban cycling clothing is nothing new from Chrome Industries – they introduced their first technical cycling shorts and pants almost two decades ago. Still, their dedication to making the best on bike clothes for the urban cyclist continues and culminates in the Folsom Urban Cycling Pant and Short.

Folsom Pant

Inspired by workpants, the Folsom Pant is made with durable, water-resistant, stretch materials. Chrome removed the seams from the crotch, added an extra layer of material, bound the remaining seams for durability and riding comfort and included a 5 bar webbing u-lock holster, reflective rear tag and double barrack reinforced belt loops.

The Folsom Pants are made of a 2-way stretch Schoeller 3XDRY® material, which absorbs sweat, minimizes stains, and repels water.

  • Bound seams: Flat bound, three needle  reinforced seams for durability and rideability.
  • Useful details include reflective back tag (and other integrated reflective details), double bartack reinforced belt loops, and a 5-bar webbing u-lock pocket.
  • Stretch: Made from durable water resistant stretch materials that work on the bike and off.

Folsom Short

The Folsom Urban Cycling Short is a slimmer, shorter alternative to Chrome’s legendary Union Shorts. The Folsom Shorts are made with a durable, water resistant Everest 4-way stretch material for comfort on the bike.

Like the Folsom Pants, the Folsom Shorts have a seamless gusseted double layer crotch to prevent blowouts from cycling. All seams are 3-needle reinforced flat felled to prevent chaffing and improve durability. Floating rear pockets with flat seam openings make hours in the saddle more comfortable.
