Oakley‘s renowned M frame certainly will go down in history as one of their revolutionary products. The M frame provided eye protection and enhanced vision for hundreds of thousands of athletes over the years and the M2 frame is the next evolution of the line.
The Oakley M2 Frame steps up styling with new ear-stem sculpturing and wrap-around Unobtainium® earsocks, and with nosebombs made of the same sure-grip material, all working together to maintain a secure Three-Point Fit. Accented with metal icons, the stress-resistant O Matter® frame is lightweight for a barely-there feel, and its smooth contouring is matched with lens curvature that opens up peripheral vision.
The M2 also includes Oakley’s premium lens tints to optimize vision for the environment, and all lenses feature the clarity and protection of High Definition Optics® (HDO®).
Oakley’s Polaric Ellipsoid geometry extends clarity all the way across the lens so vision is sharp and true at every angle of view. The wrap-around contours improve side protection against sun, wind and impact while durable Plutonite® lens material filters out 100% of all UV.
Customers can choose a lens with Iridium® coating for light transmission that is precisely balanced for the chosen activity and environment. The frame can also be matched with premium HDPolarized lenses that block 99% of eye-straining glare.
The single-lens sport shield meets all ANSI Z87.1 standards for optical performance, as well as ANSI Z87.1 standards for resistance to high-mass and high-velocity impact.
While you can buy a limited number of pre-configured M2 glasses direct from Oakley or at any retailer, the fastest growing segment of purchases from the company are now using Oakley’s custom process to configure exactly the sunglasses that they want.
While the M2 frame is not available in the custom shop just yet, 30 other frames can be customized to your exact needs. Options include frame color, lens shape and shade, earsocks, logos, engraving and more. Everything short of engraving can be configured on the spot at an Oakley store.
