In less than two weeks, I’ll be heading off to Winter Park, Colorado for a little bit of lift served mountain biking, and you can be sure that I’ll be toting the OGIO Endurance 9.0 bag ($150) for my travels.
I’ve had the chance to use this bag for quite a while and it has proved useful for everything from local trips to the bike trail to a week at Interbike.
Weighing in at just 3.4 pounds empty, the Endurance 9.0 offers up a fairly massive 3600 cubic inches of storage space. What does that translate to?
- Cycling helmet
- Cycling shoes
- Bibshorts
- Base Layer
- Jersey
- Gloves
- Sunglasses
- 6 pair sock
- 6 pair underwear
- 4 t-shirts
- 3 sport shirts
- 1 pair tennis shoes
..and probably a good deal more.
But that doesn’t even begin to describe all that this bag can carry or what it is capable of.
For triathletes (or anyone who gets wet), there is a dedicated wet/dry compartment that can be used for a small transition area during a race. For those of us that sweat, the bag includes a ventilated area for dirty clothes.
Both helmets and shoes get their own dedicated storage area so that valuable space inside the bag does not get taken up with them. Sunglasses and other items also get a crush resistant pocket that is separately lockable.
Still, for all of the cavernous space, the OGIO Endurance 9.0 bag still offers plenty of pockets. There a multiple zippered pockets and organization compartments as well as specific storage areas for nutrition gels and water bottles.
I especially liked that the Endurance 9.0 easily converted to a backpack. The straps, which have an integrated carry handle, are nicely padded and there’s also a sternum clip that helps to stabilize the load. That said, it doesn’t work as well for standard carry as I would like.
Here’s a video that takes you through some of the features:
The Endurance 9.0 is available in three colors (black, grey/electric and navy/acid) can be ordered directly from the OGIO website.

I have owned this bag for more than a year. It’s just perfect for the cyclist. Way more room than you can imagine. It’s big pluses are it’s dedicated helmet space an fits crush proof area for glasses and electronics. As a cyclist I highly recommend this product.
