New Bianchi Celeste Methanol 27.5 SL debuts with Kerschbaumer at Italian Champs

On the occasion of the Italian XC Championships in Gorizia (Northern Italy) on Sunday July 20th, Bianchi will provide i.idroDRAIN-Bianchi Team’s Gerhard Kerschbaumer with a brand-new version of his Methanol 27.5 SL. In fact, the new full-Celeste layout, a preview of Bianchi 2015 range, will make its absolute debut in the race, as Kerschbaumer will try to be in contention for his first National Champion’s jersey in the elite series.

Methanol 27.5 SL a performance racing-inspired model, matching rigidity and reactive geometries with an optimal weight to rigidity ratio, and characterized by the innovative electronic fork exclusively introduced in competitions by Bianchi.

Methanol 27.5 SL features Triple Wall Tube (TWT) technology, providing great rigidity, reactivity and strength to the frame, as well as Bianchi ERC design (Embedded Reinforcement Construction) reducing power wasting while contributing to frame stiffness, thanks to carbon ribs embedded and molded into structure in the tubes exposed to the highest torsion and stress.

The “S”-shape special design stays laminated with carbon/glass fibers (SAS – Shock Absorbing Stays) enhances absorption of vertical shocks on the rear staying, helping to reduce the transmission of the vibrations to the rider and then decreasing the global weariness. Finally, the Ti-Net Protection, a thin titanium net inserted in the down tube, acts as a frame protection barrier for the carbon fiber from shocks and rubbles.
