Lars van der Haar’s cyclo-cross season gets underway in earnest this October with the opening Superprestige, Bpost and World Cup races of the season.
The month starts with the first Superprestige race of the winter ‘cross season, at Gieten. Van der Haar finished runner-up here last year, just eight seconds off the win and will be looking for another strong result this season after a good start to his year with second place in Las Vegas and more recently third at GP Neerpelt.
The following weekend there’s a double header with firstly the GP Den Bosh on Saturday before the first round of the Bpost series in Ronse.
Moving forward to the 19th, he will be competing at the opening World Cup outing in Valkenburg, a race he won on his way to taking the overall World Cup title last season.
The final race of the month for van der Haar will be the evening race in Woerden, in The Netherlands.
