Rudy Project has found success in the past with the Hypermask and Airblast, and have announced their latest full coverage sunglasses, the Ergomask.
Full coverage sunglasses have been popular with cross country skiers, triathletes, cyclists, runners, and many other athletes around the world. The Ergomask looks as though it has taken features from both the Airblast and they Hypermask, while adding a few new touches. The shape of the lens is closer to the Airblast, with a little extra depth of coverage on the cheeks than the Hypermask. The temples resemble the Hypermask more, but the ear socks are a new design. What you get though, is an extremely light weight and well-ventilated sunglasses with almost zero obstructions from the frames.
“Simplicity is sometimes the hardest thing to do well, but it speaks volumes when executed perfectly,” said Paul Craig, President and Co-Founder of Rudy Project North America. “The Ergomask is pure, refined beauty that comes to life through simply brilliant engineering. It’s so lightweight and unobtrusive, you’ll completely forget you’re wearing it, but others will take note because of how cool it is. This is art and perfection.”
Continued from the Hypermask, the Ergomask uses the 360° adjustable temples and nose piece which allow for an extremely custom fit. The temples are coated with Megol® rubber which makes them grip even better when wet. Even during your most intense efforts, the Ergomask will stay in place. Rudy Project also added side and brow ventilation to help keep them from fogging by increasing the air flow along the lens. The Ergomask is fits best on medium to large faces, but with the adjustable temples and nose piece, it can fit just about any face.
Currently, they are available in three colors, Matte Black, White Gloss, and Racing Pro Yellow Fluo Gloss. Another carry over from the Hypermask is the Quick Change™ Interchangeable Lens System, which allows you to change lenses to adjust to any lighting conditions.
Rudy Project Ergomask – $224.99 – 249.99
