The High Line Hotel in the Chelsea district of New York City has announced a special partnership with Shinola to provide its guests with access to the brand’s Runwell model of bicycles starting June 2015. The Detroit-based Shinola – known for its watches, bicycles, journals, pet accessories, and small leather goods – will showcase a fleet of six bicycles and helmets for complimentary guest use to ride around the surrounding Chelsea neighborhood and nearby Hudson River Park.
Located on Chelsea’s thriving west side, The High Line Hotel’s setting allows for easy bicycle access to some of New York City’s most unique and new attractions. From the iconic High Line elevated park to the new Whitney Museum, the neighborhood’s top travel destinations are only a leisurely bicycle ride away. All of these points of interest will be highlighted on a hand-drawn map gifted to guests as part of the bicycle check-out process.
In addition to complimentary use of the Shinola fleet, guests of The High Line Hotel will also have the option to purchase custom gourmet picnic baskets created by the newly opened Alta Linea restaurant located in the hotel’s front garden. Featuring Italian specialties, each picnic basket will be crafted to individual guests’ tastes and will fit neatly into the bicycles’ hand-made cargo boxes.
