Another sprinters stage awaits the riders on the 7th Stage of the 2015 Tour de France as they race 190.5kms from Livarot to Fougeres.
There is one categorized climb at 12.5kms: the Côte de Canapville1.9 kilometre-long climb at 4.7% – category 4. This shouldn’t interrupt the sprinters’ plans, however, coming so early in the stage. I could actually imagine Rodriguez attacking for this point if a break hasn’t been established at this point.
The intermediate sprint occurs in Argentan at the 65.5kms mark and should be won by a breakaway.
It seems unlikely for winds to play a large role on the stage given the geography of the region. With climbs ahead, however, this is the last chance for the sprinters for awhile. So it should be a fast contest in the closing kilometres! Let’s also hope for a safer day for the riders than many have experienced recently!
