Stephen Ettinger (Bozeman, Mont./Team SHO-AIR-Cannondale) and Erin Huck (Boulder, Colo./SCOTT-3Rox Racing) continued Team USA’s success on Sunday after both raced to bronze medals in the mountain bike cross country finals.
Ettinger finished 1:48 off the winning pace set by Raphael Gagne (CAN) on the 31.2-kilometer course at Hardwood Mountain Bike Park. Catriel Soto (ARG) finished in second place.
In a race that was dominated early by home-country athletes Emily Batty (CAN) and Catharine Pendrel (CAN), Huck held a steady pace to secure third place on the 26-kilometer course, finishing 5:23 behind the winner.
USA Cycling athletes have now won five medals in the past three days.
