Watts Marketing, organizer of CLIF® Bar CrossVegas, announced today that Liv will once again sponsor the women’s category of the popular Wheelers & Dealers industry race. The women’s cycling brand from Giant was part of CrossVegas in 2014 in a similar role.
The annual cyclocross race takes place Wednesday September 16th in 2015 following the first day of the Interbike show in Las Vegas.
Liv Global Communications Manager Janette Sherman had this to say, “We love cyclocross here at Liv because it is extremely inviting to all levels of riders, spectator friendly and truly embodies the best aspects of cycling culture. Thanks to the CrossVegas event organizers we now have an all-women’s Liv Wheelers and Dealers race. We encourage women from all riding backgrounds and experience levels to join — even if this is your first cross race.”
Race director Brook Watts announced that Liv is encouraging women to compete in the Liv Wheelers & Dealers Race by providing a discount code to all women. “Liv is offering $5 off the online registration fee. When registration opens on August 4th all women Wheelers & Dealers can use the code “LIV” to receive the discount.” Registration will be accessible at www.crossvegas.com.
In addition, Liv is giving a VIP Bag to the first 50 women to register in the Liv Wheelers & Dealers race.
As cyclocross participation and its fan base grows in the US, CLIF Bar CrossVegas will be in the spotlight globally after receiving UCI World Cup designation for 2015, the first ever outside of Europe. An estimated 8 million TV viewers will see the event worldwide. Food, beverages and a distinctly Vegas atmosphere have made it the biggest show of the cyclocross season.
CLIF Bar CrossVegas offers racing opportunities for elite competitors from 15 nations, as well as recreational racers from the US. The industry race, The Wheelers & Dealers Race presented by Road Bike Action, has become the battle for bragging rights among bicycle industry members.
