Showers Pass has introduced their new Spring Classic Cycling Jacket: a light, formfitting waterproof breathable jacket designed to extend the training season.
Showers Pass offers the best, wet weather protection in its class once again, adding to its already proven collection of weatherproof clothing that compliments all active lifestyles. The Spring Classic Cycling Jacket provides a streamlined race fit that is more like a jersey than a jacket, and non-binding construction thanks to seamless underarm panels. Featuring super light eliteTM waterproof breathable hardshell fabric on the front and back of the jacket, it is excellent for wet weather protection. Stretchy eliteTM waterproof breathable softshell fabric is used on the sides and under the arms to offer a secure and non-binding race fit.
“In 2013, Showers Pass was called upon to supply jackets for the Russian Katusha Pro Cycling Team for the 2014 race season. During the 2014 Tour of Italy, Team Katusha wore prototypes of the Spring Classic Jacket in the snow. Even the best riders in the world need protection from the elements,” says Kyle Ranson, president of Showers Pass. “Maintaining a steady core temperature in nasty weather can make or break a race. The new Spring Classic Jacket offers unparalleled protection from the elements in a lightweight, waterproof-breathable package, that also happens to fit like a glove.”
The Jacket offers large core vents and a back “tailpipe vent” below the neck for flow-through ventilation that allows precision air movement. Weighing just 300 grams in size medium, the jacket conveniently fits in its own back pocket for easy stashing when the weather improves. Featuring a 3M Scotchlite reflective piping down the front zipper, back and a reflective heat transfer Showers Pass logo down the sides, the Spring Classic Cycling Jacket is highly visible, ensuring safety from all angles when headlights approach.
