Joining the ever-increasing range of bags for cycling, Brooks England releases the stylish new Metropolitan range designed for urban cycling sophisticates.
Much like the iconic Brooks Saddle, the Metropolitan line combines strong design with natural materials and functional ideas. A distinctive mark is the bright yellow internal lining which serves to brighten the interior for better visibility. Other key features are thoughtfully organized internal spaces, padded inserts for laptops and rubber handles. Finished in an elegant and practical way with custom adjustable straps, the Brooks nameplate and classic interior label.
The cycle bags are designed for urban adventurers who traverse their city daily by bike, and who appreciate the power of aesthetics. They dress stylishly, live passionately and make the most out of every ride – even if it’s a Monday morning commute. Instead of taking the fastest route from home to work, they choose one that is more pleasant, inspiring or fun. And these – their Detours – will be the main content of the campaign Brooks has created around these new line of cycle bags.
“We are celebrating a community of individualistic urban cyclists who constantly seek to know their city. We’re recording the people, places, and views of the city as seen from the saddle of their bikes, on their free and intuitive routes around the city. Take a different turn, dare to explore, and discover charming hidden locations. Sometimes the shortest cut isn’t as pleasant as a diversion, an exploration, or even the long way round.” Brooks England
The Brooks Metropolitan Detours campaign, a collection of urban escapes by bicycle from New York, London, and Berlin will be presented on the dedicated website, where users will find profiles of interesting urbanites and the inspiring journeys they take to escape within the city.
The line consists of six bags right now: The Crosby, an over the shoulder messenger style bag; The Lexington, a slimmer briefcase style bag; The Rivington, a roomy roll-top rucksack; The Weekender, a more than voluminous duffel style bag that comes in two sizes; and, The Mercer, an open top tote bag. All are available on the Brooks England website.
