Osprey Packs partners with Hydrapak to launch advanced Osprey Hydraulics™ System

Osprey Packs, a leader in creating top-quality, high-performance, innovative packs to comfortably and efficiently carry gear, announced today that they have partnered with Hydrapak – the creator of innovative hydration solutions for performance-driven people – to collaboratively design and manufacture Osprey Hydraulics™ reservoirs. These reservoirs will be used in Osprey’s full line of hydration packs and sold separately beginning with the Spring 2016 collection.

The all-new Osprey Hydraulics by Hydrapak system includes two reservoir models – Hydraulics and Hydraulics LT. The new Osprey Hydraulics by Hydrapak are all backed by Osprey’s All Mighty Guarantee™ – a lifetime guarantee on all Osprey packs, reservoirs and accessories. Both models incorporate an array of leading-edge features, including:

• Exclusive Carry Handle – promotes simple handling and management
• Exclusive Pour Shield – promotes easy filling and emptying of reservoir
• Top Opening Slider – simplifies filling and cleaning
• Hydrapak Blaster™ Bite Valve – allows for smooth drinking and fast flow
• QuickConnect™ – ensures easy loading and filtering
• Hose & Sternum Strap Magnet – unobtrusively manages drinking hose

The Hydraulics reservoir, ideal for large volume packs and long duration activities, will be available in 2L and 3L volumes and include Osprey’s Hydrostatic™ backerplate for easy pack loading and maintaining a flat profile.

The Hydraulics LT version, available in 1.5L and 2.5 L volumes, includes twin baffles to stabilize water and maintain a flat profile. The LT reservoirs are lightweight and flexible for small volume packs or light and fast activities.

Osprey launched Hydration in Spring/Summer 2010, harnessing its rich history and expertise in carry, comfort and fit to deliver packs with an integrated hydration system. Today, Osprey offers hydration packs for hiking, trail fitness and bike. New for  Spring/Summer 2016 is the gender specific Manta AG™ and Mira AG™ hydration packs, utilizing the brand’s ground-breaking Anti-Gravity™ Suspension technology. In addition to Manta AG/Mira AG, Osprey is introducing the Skarab and Skimmer series of gender specific hiking hydration packs as well as the redesigned faster and lighter Viper and Verve bike hydration packs.
