Caroline Mani (Littleton, Calif./Raleigh-Clement) and Jamey Driscoll (Park City, Utah/Raleigh Clement) put the finishing touches on their respective Professional Cyclo-Cross Calendar (Pro CX) championships following the Jan. 2 season finale at the Kingsport Cyclo-Cross Cup in Kingsport, Tenn.
Mani did not record any points on the weekend, but it did not matter given her sizeable lead, finishing 116 points ahead of the women’s elite field with 818 points and the title. Driscoll’s lead was nearly as untouchable, but the Utah native’s seventh-place effort at Kingsport padded his lead, delivering an 858-point elite men’s championship win.
Gage Hecht (Parker, Colo./Alpha Bicycle Co.-Vista Subaru) won the junior men’s title earlier in the season with 195 points.
