Ahh finally, I meet DZR H2O! For years, an absolute obsession of cycling efficiency has kept me from choosing style over performance. If DZR had been around earlier, this camouflaged high performance cycling shoe would have saved me from much grief from my friends for wearing Lake cycling shoes and tapping around in my cleats at my post-work adventures.
The arrival of the waterproof sheepskin leather (complete with mink oil) high tops intrigued me. It did take a minute to wear in the shoe like any good pair of leathers would require. Cleat installation was as painless as cleat installation can be. And since then, it’s been smooth sailing. I mean clipping around town in good looking shoes with the power transference that longer commutes and/or quick rides demand.
Damn! Â I thank the passionate cyclists at DZR for bringing to urban riders a solution to their limited choices; much like when Gary Erickson came up with the Clif bar. Â And no more clicking around happy hours and incessant teasing from my buddies!! Thanks DZR!
