Jamis releases 2017 Cyclocross and Adventure bike line-ups

Jamis Bicycles concluded its annual 3-day National Sales Meeting on Sunday highlighted by the unveiling of the company’s entire 2017 line of new bicycles.

The event featured detailed 2017 product introductions marked by category-by-category overviews, new technology explanations, new model and specification overviews, and more. Also included were presentations from sales, marketing, operations and management. Plenty of riding, dining and good cheer accompanied the weekend-long event including a picturesque Saturday night dinner at famed Battery Gardens Restaurant along the southern tip of Manhattan.

“We had a fantastic sales meeting this year—our best ever, “ said Jamis company president, Carine Joannou. “The line looks amazing and based on the reception we received from our reps and staff, we think retailers and consumers alike are really going to love what they see. We know there are many choices out there, and our team responded by delivering the best product line we have ever produced.”

The new 2017 Jamis website is expected to go live in mid-September and will include all new models, categories and features. Several early release models will debut on the current Jamis website since they are expected in stock shortly. Nova Cyclocross Series

The 2017 Nova Cyclocross Series is lead by the Supernova Team (shown) with its Dyad Plus T700/FRP monocoque carbon fiber frameset including FEA optimized Near Net SPV molding process. American Classic Argent tubeless 15mm front/12mm rear thru-axle wheels with SRAM Force hydraulic disc brakes and SRAM Force 1 CX 11-spd 1x crank and drive train round out a $3999.00 MSRP price tag for this winter classic. The series also includes the Supernova Elite, which shares the identical frameset as the Supernova Team, at just $2799.00 MSRP, and the 6061 aluminum Nova Pro with a $1899.00 MSRP. All three Jamis cyclocross models are expected in stock by late July.

Renegade Series

Also targeted for early release are the Renegades, Jamis’ popular adventure line of road bikes. These award-winning bicycles have distinguished Jamis as a true leader in this category. For 2017 the series will include five models: two carbon fiber, two steel and one aluminum. The carbon fiber models are lead by the Renegade Elite (shown) at $3899.00. It features an Omniad M30 monocoque frameset with Near Net molding process and new Size Specific Design (SSD). It includes 12mm thru-axle front and rear, Shimano BR-RS805 hydraulic 160mm disc brakes and Shimano Ultegra 11-spd mechanical drivetrain. American Classic MTB RACE tubeless wheels paired with Clement X Plor MSO 36c tires give this bike all the adventure capability that its category name implies. Other Renegade models include the carbon fiber Renegade Expert with a MSRP of $2699.00, the Reynolds 631 double-butted steel Renegade Exploit at $2099.00 and Reynolds 520 double-butted steel Renegade Expat at $1199.00. Rounding out the line is the 6061 aluminum Renegade Exile with a MSRP of $799.00. All five models are expected in stock by early August.
