Wolf Tooth offers “ultimate upgrade” for Rockshox Reverb posts

  • Ron

Rockshox’s line of hydraulically-actuated Reverb dropper posts are known to be one of the best out there, but like all hydraulics, the posts do require maintenance and need to be bled from time to time. Now, Wolf Tooth Components has introduced a version of the ReMote lever that adds a leak-proof, robust, and low-maintenance mechanical actuation system; easy cable detachment for service or shipping; and, 40mm (1 5/8in) reduction of in-frame height when compared to Connectamajig-equipped Reverbs (especially important for those like me with curved seat tubes!)

The addition of Wolf Tooth’s ReMote Sustain mechanism leaves the hydraulic inners of the Reverb posts untouched, but removes the secondary hydraulic system in favor of a simple cable and mechanical actuator. Tactile feedback is improved, return speeds are accelerated, and lever throw is reduced.

The ReMote Sustain system ($89.95)is compatible with Reverb Stealth generation A2 and B1 posts and installs in just 20 minutes. Everything needs to do the installation comes with the kit including a Jagwire polished stainless steel cable and housing. A variety of mounting options are available, including integrated brake lever mounting for Shimano I-Spec and SRAM Matchmaker X brake levers.

All of the advantages of the existing ReMote line are included:

  • Wolf Tooth’s low-profile, high-traction lever
  • Easily-installed UpFront cable fixing
  • A large-diameter 21mm ball-bearing pivot
  • Wolf Tooth’s  low-torque Cable-Kind Clamp
  • A rattle-free integrated cable adjuster
  • The industry-first breakaway axle pivot, making the inevitable mishaps less (financially) painful
