And here is your latest update to the UCI Approved Frames List for September 14th, 2017.
It’s a rather short list, with entries from HIA Velo, Rose, Salcano, and Scott.
For HIA Velo, there isn’t much to tell. We have not been able to find much on what the FM01 would be, but potentially something new from their Allied Cycle Works brand. We’ll update you as we here more.
For Rose Bicycles, their X-Lite 6 4 joins the list, surprisingly after the disc version was added back in late July. The X-Lite is the brand’s lightweight all-around race bike.
Salcano gets their first bike on the list with the XRS 001. The Turkish brand offers this frame set in three levels of build, SRAM Red with a Ritchey cockpit and Zipp 303 wheels, and Shimano Dura-Ace and Ultegra Di2, both with Ritchey cockpit and groupset matching wheels.
The big addition is the Scott Foil Disc. Scott adds their aero road bike to the list with some new brakes and new design cues. No, they didn’t just slap some discs on and beef up the non-driveside. The new Foil Disc gets some interesting new shaping around the discs and thru-axles to improve aerodynamics. This is a trend I am sure we will see going into 2018 from more brands.
