fi’zi:k to power Movistar teams with shoes and saddles

  • Ron

In a partnership that fuses the very cutting edge of Italian design with world leading talent, the riders of Movistar Team are primed to power through the 2018 and 2019 WorldTour with fi’zi:k shoes and saddles; developed and tested in conjunction with the professional riders themselves.

It’s a season set for world class cycling performance as the team returns after strong performances in 2017 including back-to-back stage wins and the team classification at the Giro d’Italia. Their talented lineup for the season ahead includes Nairo Quintana who topped the podium at Tirreno-Adriatico in 2017. “The Tour de France is in my sights for 2018,” says the 27-year-old Colombian. “I’m more motivated than ever to realize my yellow jersey dream, and the technology and comfort of my shoes and saddle is vital for performance,” he says.

Alongside Quintana are the Spanish duo, Mikel Landa who joins Movistar Team with multiple 2017 wins including General Classification at the Vuelta a Burgos, and Alejandro Valverde, who is looking for great things in 2018 after his comeback from injury. “I am ready for 2018. My objective is simple – to win again, and with fi’zi:k, I am prepared for the challenge,” Valverde says.

As they approach their fifth season together, the relationship with Movistar Team is one that fi’zi:k are extremely proud of. “fi’zi:k were chosen by Movistar Team after the riders received great feedback from other pros already riding with fi’zi:k,” says Nicolò Ildos, the Italian brand’s Sport Marketing Manager. fi’zi:k has supported a growing number of riders across the WorldTour for eight years, and 2018 is no exception. Sport Marketing Manager at fi’zi:k, Nicolò Ildos says, “We are delighted with the development of our partnerships with professional riders. We have grown from five pro riders in 2010 with our shoes, to today’s fifty WorldTour riders, including Movistar Team, riding with fi’zi:k shoes.

We’re proud to support the Movistar Teams, alongside many individual athletes across other WorldTour teams. We have celebrated their victories across the world’s greatest races and we look forward to an exciting 2018 season.”
