World Champion Alejandro Valverde of the Movistar Team will skip the 102nd Giro d’Italia to focus on recovery following a crash at Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
Valverde is still in pain after suffering a bone edema in his sacrum following the crash and will continue recovery with efforts with a goal to return to form in the second half of the season.
