One of our favorite shows is back for their 10th year. The Philly Bike Expo will be held on November 2nd and 3rd at the Philadephia Convention Center (Hall E) in downtown Philly. We will be there to check out all of the goodies and report back on the beautiful handmade bikes and any new and interesting products we find. Look for our articles following the show, with some social media posts during the weekend. Here are some teasers:
WTB will be launching new saddles and a fit system. WTB Fit Right System uses individual biometrics and your riding position to calculate your sit bone measurement and find the right width and padding thickness to match. They will be fitting riders all weekend to find your perfect saddle.
Co-Motion Cycles will have their new Steelhead tandem. Their latest design is made to tackle gravel and all-road riding, adding room for 45mm gravel tires, or 38’s with fenders.
Cane Creek with the help of Mel Pinto Imports, will be launching Cane Creek’s new Hellbender NEO bottom brackets. As with all Cane Creek products, the Hellbender is beautifully anodized in black and gold, and use SKF’s patented MTRX technology.
Speedsleev will have a limited production run of products in a Dyneema carbon fabric. Rumor has it, they will also be releasing a new bag as well. We’ll be sure to stop in and see them.
If you were interested in checking out the Wahoo KICKR bike, well, here is your chance. It will be the first time it is shown in the US, as it was launched at Eurobike
VAAST Bikes will be holding their US launch. We’ll check in on their line of all-road adventure line of sport performance bikes, “designed for those who are destined for more.”
Selle Anatomica, a brand known for making some serious leather saddles, will have a new R2 rubber bicycle saddle.
Savile Road will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Columbus. In a partnership with Kirk Frameworks, the projects was established to create a new frame from Columbus Cento tubing. The bike will be on display and released to the public at their booth on Saturday at noon. They will also be introducing the Holland Cycles HC, and will have other special projects on display.
With over 190 exhibitors, organizer Bina Bilenky Trahan expects over 4,700 attendees. Along with vendors, there will also be seminars, workshops, artisan demonstrations, skills classes, and test rides. If you plan on riding to the event, there is free indoor valet bike parking available in the Broad Street Atrium.
