LEM Helmets launches new Spyne MTB half-shell

  • Ron

LEM Helmets, global manufacturer of innovative, stylish, and performance head protection for cycling and motorsports, today unveils its new Spyne mountain bike helmet. Precision-crafted for full-gas down full-commitment singletrack, the Spyne delivers a happy lightweight feel and max comfort for full-day enduro charges. From fast corners to rocky climbs, the open-face half-shell’s stout construction offers versatility and protection for all-mountain pursuits.

“Aside from the design aesthetics, the first things you’ll notice on the Spyne are its light weight, fit, and full-coverage feel. In developing this helmet, we knew we needed to exceed the mark in performance, versatility, and value, and we’re excited to bring it to the global mountain bike community,” said Keith Cozzens, LEM’s global brand marketing director. “The Spyne also features our new, proprietary GelMotion technology which allows us to further accommodate the needs of riders and deliver product offerings that bring benefits for every ride.”

The Spyne ($150) features LEM’s new, proprietary GelMotion® technology for the management of high- and low-energy impacts, and rotational and oblique impacts.

During an impact with GelMotion, the surrounding EPS foam plus energy-absorbing gel pads work harmoniously to displace energy upon impact. And, the pads maintain their shape over time for consistent performance.

Featuring 15 vents for maximum ventilation and cooling for climbing, and a full-coverage shell design with clean lines, the Spyne excels on long days spent riding on dirt. It also comes complete with LEM’s durable and lightweight shell technology, a micro-adjust fit system, LEM Link™ burly indexing visor, and a quick and secure Fidlock® buckle. The Spyne delivers protection and freedom for when you’re focused, locked in the moments of drifting, dreaming, … and enjoying!
