Tifosi Adds Rail Rimless Performance Cycling Glasses

Tifosi Rail

Not too far back, we posted about the Swank XL addition to Tifosi’s lifestyle lineup. Well, today, they are launching the Rail. It is the brand’s first rimless sunglasses, which was designed with the goal to create lightweight sunglasses, but still provide protection and an affordable price. Similar to the Oakley EV Zero line or the Smith Reverb, the Tifosi Rail aims to be light while keeping your wallet heavy.

The Rail uses an oversized shield, measuring 131mm wide and 59.5mm tall, making them suitable for larger faces. The 121mm temples provide plenty of grip and stability but should play nicely with helmet retention systems. Like other Tifosi glasses, the Rail uses a polycarbonate lens for impact protection and scratch resistance, while blocking 100% UVA/UVB ultra-violet rays. The temples and nose piece are made from lightweight and durable Grilamid TR-90, with Hydrophilic rubber to keep them securely in place, even during the hardest efforts. They are easily adjustable to create a custom fit for each wearer. Weighing in at 32g, they should remain comfortable all day long.

Colors available are Blackout/Smoke, Crystal Blue/Clarion Blue, Midnight Navy/Clarion Yellow, White and Black/Smoke, Matte Black/Clarion Red Fototec. All versions, except the Matte Black, come with Tifosi’s AC Red and Clear lenses as well, which are easily interchangeable to handle various conditions. All models retail for $79.95.

By now, we already have the Sledge Lite and Swank XL RX glasses, and we’ll be adding these to the list of glasses we are testing this spring. Watch for reviews coming soon.
