Winning debut for Pinarello Dogma XC

The all-new Pinarello Dogma XC mountain bike enjoyed a dream debut at Nové Město with INEOS Grenadiers star Tom Pidcock riding it to victory in both the Men’s Elite Cross-county Short Track and Olympic events.

The Dogma XC – in its first UCI World Cup appearance – was able to handle everything Pidcock could throw at it as he outsprinted Samuel Gaze to triumph in the Short Track race on Friday night, and the British rider then dropped Joshua Dubau in the final lap of the Olympic contest before wrapping up his win by a five-second margin on Sunday afternoon.

And the bike also performed brilliantly for Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who took second place in the Women’s Elite Cross-country Olympic event after claiming fourth place in the Short Track.

The Dogma XC is a full suspension development bike which Pidcock and Ferrand-Prévot will be testing throughout the 2023 season as part of Pinarello’s renewed focus on MTB.

Pinarello began developing the bike in autumn 2022 and underwent an intense period of testing with Ferrand-Prévot, Pidcock and the INEOS Grenadiers’ technical team.

The result is a bike which performs to the highest level and will continue to support both riders at UCI Cross-country World Cup events this season as well as the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, and ultimately the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Pidcock’s victories are actually the Dogma XC’s third and fourth success to date, with Ferrand-Prévot winning on the bike’s very first appearance at the French Cup in April, and Pidcock triumphing at the Swiss Cup earlier this month.

Further testing will take place throughout 2023 with both riders continuing to be heavily involved in its development.

The Dogma XC will be available commercially in March 2024 and there is a second, front suspension frame also being developed to meet the demands of other World Cup circuits.
