Campagnolo today introduces two new Bora models to its family of road wheels: Ultra WTO and WTO.
Celebrating 30 years of pro tour wins, the next-generation Bora wheels have been enhanced in every aspect, offering superior performance through improved aerodynamic shapes and lighter weight. The new Campagnolo Bora is elevated through a refined design conceived for the most demanding cyclists, offering precise steering control that empowers riders to find their own line.
Both new models feature Campagnolo’s distinctive G3 spoke pattern, providing the rider with the most efficient energy transfer through the bike. A 23mm internal rim width contributes to the overall feel of the wheel, providing a larger surface area in contact with the ground that benefits aerodynamics and trajectory control. The Ultra WTO utilizes Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology (CULT) bearings, adopting a rear hub constructed with the same top-of-the-range carbon fiber as the rim itself. All Bora WTO wheels benefit from Aero Mo-Mag technology with internal spoke nipples offering further aerodynamic improvement.
Additionally, the aerodynamic integration between the Bora rim and tire has been designed with a drop-shaped profile that creates a more efficient, dynamic airflow around the wheel resulting in a 13% linear reduction from the previous model, and improvements in a 15-degree side wind throughout the range.
Rim weight has been reduced by up to 135 grams compared to the previous versions, thanks to state-of-the-art Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon (HULC) molding, a proprietary process that creates a perfect balance of carbon fiber and resin for the intended use. Ultra WTO rims weigh 420 grams per set; WTO at 550 grams per set. All Bora wheels are hand-assembled by a specialized Campagnolo technician.
