New Bike Day! Scarab and Revel announce updates

  • Ron

Scarab Cycles and Revel Bikes are the latest to drop new bikes into the inbox here at Bike World News. Be sure to take an extra close look at the Scarab for a brand new Wolftooth Components headset that incorporates internal cable routing!

Scarab Cycles Paramo Integrated Gravel Bike

Scarab Cycles is proud to announce the expansion of its collection with the Paramo Integrated. An addition to the Paramo family of gravel bikes, the Paramo Integrated uses the ENVE IN-Route system with the ENVE Gravel IN-Route Fork and an all-new Wolf Tooth integrated headset.

Named after the stunning high-altitude landscapes of Colombia, the Paramo Integrated is made in El Retiro, a charming town on the outskirts of Medellín. The Paramo region is known for its tough conditions—thin air, unpredictable weather, and strong winds. Cycling there is a real challenge! A Paramo is designed to tackle these conditions, giving riders a unique adventure in Colombia’s rugged Paramo ecosystem.

The latest offering in the line, Paramo Integrated joins Scarab’s standard Paramo design as well as the Paramo Ultra, which was created for increased tire clearance and the most rugged exploration. Paramo Integrated is a streamlined model that offers some of the most cutting edge technologies produced by Scarab and our partners.

“Wolf Tooth has been quietly working on a clean headset solution for integrated cockpits, here in our Minnesota machine shop, with best-in class stack height, weight, and internal sealing,” said Wolf Tooth Marketing Manager Zach Dolinaj. “We’ve admired Scarab and their custom steel bikes for years. When we learned that Scarab was building a Paramo Integrated with this cockpit for Philly Bike Expo, we knew that this was the perfect opportunity to show off a prototype of our new integrated headset.”

Revel Rail29 Gets More Travel and New Colors

With years spent designing, testing, riding, and refining the Revel Rail29, it represents years of knowledge gained from obsessing over the details to create a hard-charging yet nimble platform. Without the demand for a major platform change, Revel has brought bigger travel and new colors to the Rail29 family.

Ravel Rail29

Coming out swinging in 2024 with an updated fork travel spec and two great new colors, the Rail29 is hitting above its weight class. Taking notes of their employee builds and customer feedback, Revel is giving the Rail29 more. More fork travel, that is. Taking it from 160mm to 170mm – You get more for when the going gets rough. More laps in the bike park. More confidence on the race track.

During the summer, Revel closes the office early to participate in the Tuesday night DH race series up the road at Snowmass Bike Park. These new colors pay homage to one of the local favorite tracks, Cowboy Coffee. You really need to enter the Flow State to get down this one fast and in one piece!
