It’s nearly time for Sea Otter, so keep an eye open for a lot of new tech drops in the coming days. In the meantime, here are a couple of cool new products from Marzocchi and Wolftooth Components.
Marzocchi Super Z Fork
Heeding the call of their athletes who wanted a single crown fork that could go big at events like Red Bull Rampage and Darkfest, Marzocchi has released the new Super Z fork. With beefy 38mm stanchions, an easily adjustable GRIP X damper and up to 190mm of travel, there’s nowhere the Super Z won’t go.
The Super Z brings the strength and support of a double crown fork with the versatility of a single crown package. With up to 190mm of travel, riders can hit everything from the steepest fall line trails to the biggest bike park booters. A progressive, supportive air spring and smooth damping let you land with absolute confidence.
Features:
- Burly 38mm stanchions for strength and steering precision
- Up to 190mm travel
- Pressure Balanced GRIP X damper with simple adjustments and Firm Mode for efficient climbing
- Air spring for progressive stroke on the big hits
- Lower Leg Bleeders equalize pressure for more responsive shredding
- Reliable, consistent performance on any trail, freeride line, or DH track
Wolftooth Ripsaw Aluminum Pedals
After the introduction of their Waveform pedal last year, Wolf Tooth returns with the new Ripsaw Aluminum Pedals. The Ripsaw features a slim, lightweight design with a slight convex profile. The large, asymmetric machined aluminum platform provides strong foot support for all-mountain riding, while the thin convex profile is just 7mm thick at the leading edge. Inside the pedal are three fully sealed cartridge bearings, a stainless steel axle, a igus bushing, and a custom radial seal to protect internal components against trail debris.
Slim Convex Profile
Ripsaw pedals are 12.5mm thick in the center and just 7mm thick in the front and rear edges. This profile is supportive and comfortable for all riders, while performing exceptionally well for riders who prefer pedaling with a mid-foot position or for shoes that do not have much structure or support.
Extra Grip
Each side of the pedal has 12 stainless steel rear-loading 4.5mm pins for loads of traction. An additional six 4.5mm pins ship with the pedal. Shorter 3mm pins are available as replacement parts to customize the convexity of the pedal; by installing shorter pins on the edges, the convex profile is emphasized.
Formed With Purpose
The slight convex profile of the pedal body is tallest at the pedal spindle. The shape then tapers toward each edge from there. This profile aligns perfectly with the arch of your foot and provides a strong platform for power transfer.
