POC Releases Limited Edition EF Eductation-EasyPost Ventral Air Mips

As fans of a team of any sport, supporters want the same kit that they see their favorite athletes using. For EF Education-EasyPost riders, that means POC helmets in their special colorway. To celebrate the first Grand Tour of the men’s World Tour season, POC is releasing a limited edition Ventral Air Mips, the same one the riders are wearing.

“Dressed in pink, EF Education-EasyPost fans are more than just supporters; they are part of the team,” said Lina Elfstrand, Chief Marketing Officer at POC. “Watch any race, and you will see roadsides littered with pink as they encourage the riders through all the ups and downs. And we wanted to meet their demands and give them even more reason and opportunity to feel a part of the team with the new 2024 season team edition, so they can show their support out on the road.”

The Ventral Air Mips focuses on ventilation and a light weight, while still offering exceptional protection. The front and rear vents have been designed to pass air through and clear out hot air from your head at high and low speeds. A truncated trailing edge also helps to reduce turbulence to decrease drag on the helmet. Even with being a lightweight model, it still uses a fully wrapped uni-body shell to protect the EPS multi-density liner and give it a polished look.

Inside, there is a Mips Integra layer to help diminish rotational forces during an impact. It also includes a lightweight 360 degree adjustable fit system for a custom fit. The updated eye garage uses high friction pads to dock your sunglasses when not wearing them. Like other POC helmets, the straps are anchored directly to the helmet, and come down to a somewhat adjustable yoke on the side under your ears before heading down to an under chin clasp.

Inside the helmet, there’s another unique feature, the TwICEme NFC chip. The chip allows you to link your medical data, so In Case of Emergency (ICE), first responders can use their NFC equipped devices to get access to your medical and emergency info. It’s not a crash sensor like Specialized ANGi or the ALECK sensor, but it is something that can help save your life if ever needed.

The Ventral Air Mips is available in three sizes, Small (50-56), Medium (54-59), Large (56-61). Weights come in at 230g for a size medium for CE, and 20g for the CPSC and AS/NZS standards.

The EF Education-EasyPost Limited Edition Ventral Air MIPS is available now at select online and retail stores, and also on POC’s website. Price is $300 USD, only a $10 increase over the standard version. When they are sold out, they are gone.

“I’m happy we can offer our fans the opportunity to show their support out on the road with the latest team-edition helmet from POC,” added Jonathan Vaughters, CEO, EF Pro Cycling. “But it’s not just about wearing pink and supporting EF Education-EasyPost; with the team-edition helmets, our fans will also benefit from the exact same performance and protection our riders do.”
