Muc-Off Expands Technical Offerings with Silky Suspension Serum

Muc-Off has announced the launch of Silky Suspension Serum, the second product in the brand’s new ‘Technical Series’, which follows the launch of the Ceramic Protection Kit late last year.

This silicone-infused serum is designed to significantly improve suspension performance. Silky Suspension Serum creates an ultra-low friction surface that boosts suspension performance, reduces dirt adhesion, and extends the life of componentry.

Following thousands of hours of testing and development at its in-house R&D centre, Muc-Off sent the serum for independent testing at FOX Factory. After three-months of testing, which included Mix Fluid, Fork, Shock, and Transfer SL part compatibility, and Shock Dyno testing, FOX certified Silky Suspension Serum a safe for use on its componentry.

Bluegrass Revamps Knee & Elbow Protection

Bluegrass has released new elbow and knee pads that offer better comfort, perfect stability, and more protection. The new range of knee pads is based on two levels of protection: Level 2 & Type B. Level 2 is a are certification grades based on the protector’s energy dissipation performance. 3 impacts are required on each protector in the central and side areas. To get Level 2 certification the average result of those impacts should not exceed 20kN, ensuring a minimum of 40% improvement in energy dissipation compared to a Level 1. Type A and Type B define the minimum impact-tested area of the protector, effectively indicating how much the pad safely covers the joint. Type B-certified protections provide 39% more coverage on knees.
