Cleary Bikes announces significant price reduction on all kids bikes

  • Ron

While I’m trying to avoid copypasta these days, I did not see a whole lot of press about this announcement from Cleary Bikes. I’ve sold a good number of these bikes in my shop and I can honestly say, even at the higher price, they are and were worth the money. As an industry, cycling should work to make riding FUN for everyone, but especially our youngest riders, who can be our customers for YEARS to come.

Of course, their going the DTC (direct to consumer) route locks me as a dealer out of being able to sell these bikes, and that makes me sad. But getting these great bikes under more kids for 30% less is a good thing for consumers.

Beyond being a good bike, Cleary not only warranties its bikes for life, but its Re-Ride program allows parents to trade up the line as their child grows, now even allowing consumers to trade in bikes from other brands that are less than five years old.

“We’re excited to offer more affordable pricing to get children on better bikes for less. The consumer-direct model enables us to do this without sacrificing the quality of the bike. It also allows us to focus more of our efforts on Re-Ride and our non-profit partners,” said Jeff Cleary, Founder of Cleary Bikes.

Lowering the barrier to entry ensures parents are able to afford a great, safe and premium-built bike for their child. New pricing is in effect across the entire range of Cleary Bikes, supporting children of all ages and skill levels. Expect to find pricing as low as $219 depending on model and sizing.
