Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY24 is thrilled to announce the signing of 21-year-old Olympian Olivia Cummins (USA) for the next two years. Currently a senior at Colorado Mesa University, Cummins is set to complete her degree in May 2025 while transitioning to a full-time commitment to both road and track cycling with the team. Over the past two years, she has raced with UCI Team DNA Pro Cycling, which provided her the flexibility to train and compete with the U.S. team pursuit squad.

“There are many athletes available for recruitment right now, and it’s a thoughtful process for me,” said Team General Manager Nicola Cranmer. “It’s not always the obvious choices that build a successful team, but after multiple conversations, I believe Olivia will be a great fit. She has a bright future ahead of her. Her dedication to the team pursuit in recent months earned her a place on the U.S. Olympic team. Although she was a reserve rider, her training at the highest level has fostered tremendous growth as an athlete. Olivia will continue to build on this trajectory, focusing on strengthening her endurance base for both road and track.”

Olivia Cummins is a multi-discipline cyclist from Colorado, beginning her cycling journey at just five years old in the CSU Oval Series in Fort Collins. While she participated in various traditional sports such as soccer, volleyball, track and field, cross country, and gymnastics, cycling remained her top priority. By age 10, she began racing more seriously, quickly showcasing her talent. She earned her first national medals at the Junior Road National Championships in Lake Tahoe, California, in the 11-12 age group.

In 2021, Olivia represented the U.S. at the Junior Road World Championships in Leuven, Belgium, achieving an impressive 8th place in the Time Trial and 24th in the Road Race, selflessly supporting her teammates, who finished 2nd and 5th overall. In 2023, she competed in the Team Pursuit at the Elite Track World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, where the team secured 6th place.
