In a final run into the line in Nimes that saw sprint leader Biniam Girmay go down in a crash, it was Jasper Philipsen crossing the line first to win Stage 16 of the 2024 Tour de France after a fantastic leadout by his teammate Mathieu Van Der Poel.
Tim Merlier took his third stage win in the 2024 Giro d’Italia, besting Jonathan Milan at the line. Tadej Pogacar led his team-mate Juan Sebastian Molano out with 2km to go but it wasn’t enough to upset the top sprinters.
The Maglia Rosa Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) has won Stage 15 of the 2024 Giro d’Italia, the 222 km long Manerba del Garda-Livigno (Mottolino). Pogacar maintained the maxi-breakaway under the control of his UAE Team Emirates to attack his GC rivals 15km before the end.
Filippo Ganna powered to one more victory against the clock at the 2024 Giro d’Italia, something he’s been used to since 2020. He rode to the Garda Lake 29 seconds faster than Tadej Pogacar while his team-mate Thymen Arensman rounded out the stage podium with Geraint Thomas in fourth place.
Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) has won Stage 13 of the 2024 Giro d’Italia, the 179km long Riccione-Cento. Stanislaw Aniolkowski (Cofidis) and Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain Victorious) finished second and third respectively.

After a late in the stage attack by Filippo Ganna, the sprinters made their expected run at the line, with Jonathan Milan powering through for the win from 300m out to win Stage 4 of the 2024 Giro d’Italia.
The finale of the 2023 Vuelta a Espana was a hard fought sprint with Kaden Groves (Alpecin Deceuninck) besting GC contendor Remco Evenepoel at the line mere seconds ahead of the peloton. In a show of unity, race winner Sepp Kuss of the United States crossed the line arm in arm with his Jumbo Visma teammates Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard.
At Saturday dawned in Spain, Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) looked on track to capture another stage win in the 2023 Vuelta a Espana, but at the end of the day, it was Wout Poels (Bahrain Victorious) who ultimately had the legs after a gruelling day of racing in the Sierra de Guadarrama.
